Unified Police Department Victim Advocate Program
The Unified Police Department’s Victim Advocate Program is designed to assist victims of crime with support through the justice system as well as provide victims with community resources and assistance. Victim Advocates assist victims (and family members) of the various types of crimes, including:

- Assault
- Child Abuse
- Dating violence
- Domestic violence
- DUI
- Homicide
- Robbery
- Sexual Assault
- Stalking/Harassment
- Suicide and other traumatic loss
Some of the services offered include:

- Accompaniment and support to some court hearings
- Accompaniment to investigative interviews
- Counseling resources
- Assist victims who are seeking orders of protection
- Information about the criminal justice system
- Provide resources for financial assistance
- Referrals to community resources
