Intent of Online Reports

Please note that online reports are intended for offenses that do not require a police response. Completing an online report is for documentation and/or insurance purposes only and will not result in a police officer responding to the scene. This does not preclude follow-up investigation by a detective or other Police Department personnel if further investigation is needed.

In completing the Online Report you confirm:

  • This is not an emergency.
  • There is no immediate danger to people or property.
  • The crime is no longer in progress.
  • I know that filing a false police report is a crime.
  • This incident occurred within the Unified Police Department service area.
  • I understand that the Unified Police Department will review this case and may contact me if further information is needed

  • Child Custody Court Order Violation (for documentation only)
  • Fraud and Financial Crimes, and Identity Theft
  • Harassing Phone Calls
  • Hit and Run
  • Not Paying for Services Rendered
  • Theft, Shoplifting and Lost Property (with a value under $10,000)
  • Threats (not involving schools or large gatherings)
  • Trespassing
  • Vandalism
  • Vehicle Burglary

After the Report Is Submitted

  • After completing your report, it will be forwarded to the Unified Police Department for review. You will also receive a temporary case number for your records.
  • You may be notified by email if any further information is needed prior to your report being approved.
  • Upon approval of your submission, you will receive an email advising that your approved report is ready with the official case number.
